Brook Lopez is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was previously with the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers. He is 7′1″. He is nicknamed “Splash Mountain.”
He is the son of Deborah and Heriberto Lopez. His twin brother, Robin Lopez, is also a professional basketball player. Another brother, Alex, has played professional basketball outside the U.S.
Brook’s maternal grandfather was James Robert Ledford (the son of John Seaton Ledford and Melvia Gray Boyd). James was born in Colorado. John was the son of James Ledford and Jane. Melvia was the daughter of John H. Boyd and Susie Ann McKenzie.
