Andriy Shevchenko is an Ukrainian professional footballer and manager, and politician. A striker, he played for Dynamo-2 Kyiv, Dynamo Kyiv, AC Milan, and Chelsea, and the Ukraine national team. He won the prestigious Ballon d’Or in 2004, and is the all-time top scorer for the Ukraine national team, at 48 goals. He managed the Ukraine national team and Genoa. He has been President of the Ukrainian Association of Football, since 25 January, 2024.
Andriy is the son of Lyubov Mikolayivna and Mykola Hryhorovych Shevchenko, a praporshchik in the army. He was partly raised in Kyiv – Obolon. He is married to American-British model Kristen Pazik, with whom he has four children. Kristen is the daughter of professional baseball player Mike Pazik. The couple initially spoke Italian to each other.
