Judith Ivey is an American actress and theatre director.

She is the daughter of Dorothy, a teacher, and Nathan Aldean Ivey, a college instructor and dean. She is married to Tim Braine, with whom she has two children.

Judith’s paternal grandfather was Alfred Columbus Ivey (the son of James Albert Ivy and Angeline Maria Honey). Alfred was born in Texas. James was the son of James Albert Ivy and Emily Ellen Redd. Angeline was the daughter of Martin Van Buren Honea/Honey and Maria Meeker.
