Christopher Lloyd is an American actor and comedian. He is particularly known for his roles in the Back to the Future and The Addams Family films, as well as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Clue, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp, Dennis the Menace, Twenty Bucks, Anastasia, Piranha 3D, I Am Not a Serial Killer, and Nobody, and the series Taxi.

He is the son of Ruth (Lapham) and Samuel R. Lloyd. His uncle, Roger Lapham (Roger Dearborn Lapham), was a shipowner and Republican politician, who was Mayor of San Francisco, from January 8, 1944 to January 8, 1948. Most of Christopher’s family lines trace back to New England, where his family has lived since the 1600s.

Christopher is married to Lisa Loiacono.

Christopher is a first cousin, once removed, of writer Lewis H. Lapham. His brother was actor Sam Lloyd III, and his nephew was actor, a capella singer, and musician Sam Lloyd.

Christopher’s paternal grandfather was Samuel Lloyd (the son of Gardner Potts Lloyd and Emma Disbrow). Samuel was born in Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey. Gardner was the son of Samuel Lloyd and Anna Maria Potts. Emma was the daughter of Benjamin Story Disbrow and Elizabeth Fitzaller Raymond.

Christopher’s paternal grandmother was Adalaide/Adele Ferrier Peck (the daughter of Francis Peck and Frances Augustine Felix). Adalaide was born in New York. Christopher’s great-grandfather Francis was born in Rhode Island, the son of Nicholas Peck and Sarah/Sally Gorham. Christopher’s great-grandmother Frances was born on Cuba, to American parents, Augustin Aristide Henri/Henry Felix, who was of French descent, and Nancy Smith Russell.

Christopher’s maternal grandfather was Lewis Henry Lapham, an entrepreneur (the son of Henry Griffith Lapham and Samantha Vail). Lewis was born in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, and became wealthy consolidating small businesses in the leather industry. He was one of the founders of the Texaco oil company. Christopher’s great-grandfather Henry was the son of Jesse Lapham and Elizabeth Griffith. Samantha was born in Danby, Rutland, Vermont, the daughter of John Vail and Ruth Rogers.

Christopher’s maternal grandmother was Antoinette N. Dearborn (the daughter of David Bailey Dearborn and Ellen Augusta Nichels). Antoinette was born in New York, to parents from Maine. David was the son of Henry Dearborn and Pamela Bailey. Ellen was born in Pittston, Kennebec, the daughter of Samuel Nichels/Nickels/Nichols and Rachel W. Child.

Christopher is a second cousin, three times removed, of social reformer and women’s rights activist Susan B. Anthony. Christopher’s maternal great-great-great-great-grandparents, Joshua Lapham and Hannah Sherman, were also Susan’s paternal great-grandparents.
