Ronny Jackson is an American physician, politician, and U.S. Navy officer. He has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas, since January 3, 2021. He was previously Physician to the President of the United States, from July 25, 2013 to March 28, 2018, and Chief Medical Advisor to the President, from February 2, 2019 to December 1, 2019. He retired as a rear admiral (lower half) in the U.S. Navy, later retroactively demoted to captain.

He is the son of Norma and Waymon Jackson. He is married to Jane, with whom he has three children. Ronny is a member of the Churches of Christ.
