Edgar Davids is a Surinamese-Dutch professional footballer and manager. A midfielder, he played for Ajax, AC Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, and Barnet, and the Dutch national team. He was capped 74 times by the Netherlands at the international level. He has managed Barnet, Telstar (in an assistant capacity), Olhanense, and the Netherlands national team (in an assistant capacity).
Edgar was born in Suriname. His family moved to the Netherlands when he was an infant. Edgar is of African-Surinamese background. He is said to have a Jewish grandparent, although it is not clear if this has been verified. Edgar is a cousin of professional footballer Lorenzo Davids.
