Molly Gordon is an American actress. Her roles include the films Ithaca, Love the Coopers, Life of the Party (2018), Booksmart, Good Boys, Shiva Baby, The Broken Hearts Gallery, You People, and Theater Camp, and television’s Animal Kingdom, Our Cartoon President, Ramy, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, and The Bear. She also co-directed and co-wrote Theater Camp.

She is the daughter of Jessie Nelson, a producer, director, and screenwriter, and Bryan Gordon, a director, writer, and producer. Her aunt, Davia Nelson, is one of The Kitchen Sisters, who are radio producers.

Molly’s paternal grandfather was named Lewis/Louis Allen Gordon (the son of Arron Gordon and Fannie). Lewis was born in Maryland, to Russian Jewish parents.

Molly’s paternal grandmother was Anne/Anna Jacobson (the daughter of Moyshe/Morris Jacobson and Zippe/Sziba/Celia Topel/Topol). Anne was born in Illinois, to Russian Jewish parents. Zippe was the daughter of Samuel Schloime/Shloyma Topol/Topel and Bertha Beila/Baila/Beile/Bule/Bella Winterman.

Molly’s maternal grandfather was named Leonard N. Nelson. Leonard was born in New York, and was also Jewish.

Molly’s maternal grandmother was Alice J. Dritz (the daughter of Harry/Henry Dritz and Roselyn/Rosalyn/Rose Shein). Alice was born in New York. Harry was a Jewish emigrant, from Vilnius, Lithuania, and was the son of Jacob Dritz and Shimka/Shimke “Sadie” Cohen. Roselyn was born in New Jersey, to Russian Jewish parents, Hyman Shein and Ray Solow.

    Her maternal grandmother was Frances Sharrow (Molly is mentioned as a granddaughter in her obituary), but I think she is Molly’s grandfather Leonard’s second husband and not her biological grandmother, because Molly’s mother’s birth certificate says her own mother’s surname was “Dritz”.
