Kenny Chesney is an American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. During their childhood, Kenny’s mother Karen and her sister, Sharon, were singers, known as “The Grigsby Twins.”

Kenny’s paternal grandfather was Arnold Edgar Chesney (the son of John Burton Chesney and Hallie R. Hubbs).

Kenny’s maternal grandfather was John Beacher Grigsby, Jr. (the son of John Beacher Grigsby and Bettie J. Davis). Kenny’s grandfather John was born in Tennessee. Bettie was the daughter of Archibald Henderson Davis and Hettie Ann Rogers.

Kenny’s maternal grandmother was Lucy Mildred Young (the daughter of Millard L. Young and Martha Jane Anderson). Lucy was born in Tennessee. Millard was the son of William Lee Young and Nancy Williams.
