Zero Mostel was an American actor, singer, and comedian.

He was the son of Hudia/Yehudis Tzina/Celia and Israel Mostel. His parents were Eastern European Orthodox Jewish emigrants, from Galicia. He was married to actress and dancer Kathryn Celia (Harkin), until his death. The couple had two children, including actor Josh Mostel.
