His songs include “Nobody Else,” “Sweet Lady,” and “How You Gonna Act Like That.” He stars as Roman Pearce in The Fast and the Furious films, and as Robert Epps in the Transformers franchise. He is also known for his roles in the films Baby Boy, Flight of the Phoenix, Four Brothers, Annapolis, Waist Deep, The Take (2007), Death Race (2008), Legion (2010), Eldorado, Black Nativity, Ride Along 2, Black and Blue, The Christmas Chronicles 2, Rogue Hostage, Dangerous (2021), and Morbius, and on the show Star.

Tyrese is the son of Priscilla and Tyrone Gibson. His parents are African-American. He is married to Samantha Lee. He has a daughter with his former wife Norma Mitchell; and a daughter with Samantha.
