Cotton and John Nance Garner are evidently related through their shared Walpole line.
They are second cousins, twice removed, trough shared ancestors Charles Harrison Walpole and Frances Parker Clements, who were Garner’s paternal great-grandparents and Cotton’s maternal 3rd great-grandparents.
He looks like he’s mixed with something. Due to being from Arkansas, probably black or Native American.
I dont see that tbh
First off, his eye color. I know white people with brown eyes exist. But his are a deep shade of brown. Look closely at his skin tone and facial features too.
He’s clearly predominantly Caucasian. Any admixture is likely 3/16 or less.
He has that upper class look who often pops out in politicians (both in US and UK). His family is not actually from Arkansas by many generations but has solid Colonial roots in Virginia. According to most genealogies, if you have noted the surname “Walpole”, he is a descendant of the prominent English family. His 6th great-grandfather: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horatio_Walpole,_1st_Baron_Walpole
Remember, family trees don’t tell the whole story. Wives have had affairs since the caveman days.
I’m not saying he’s definitely mixed. It’s quite possible he’s 100% white. All I’m saying is I’ve picked up on possible hints he could be mixed.
Agree with you (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4137506.stmu) but being his family quite well-off this is not the case.

lol
Middle name is “Bryant”. I wonder if there is any connection to the activist and one time singer Anita?
