My nonna… She’s lived a crazy life and because of our language barrier (Italian is her first language), I never feel like I get a full grasp on all of her crazy stories. She survived and thrived through so much in her life. From being a child in Italy at the end of the war, humble beginnings working on a farm in a large family, meeting my nonno and overcoming so much as an immigrant in Canada where she knew no one and they were truly starting from scratch. She’s had a wild ride and such an incredible faith throughout all of it. She’s one of the strongest women I know…

lol @paul :)
Shenae is an Irish name. Anyway, what does your first name have to do with your heritage? Mine’s Paul, but I’m not Latin. xP
Shenae is a straight up Black person name.. Shanay, Shanae, how ever you want to spell it, her name doesnt fit her at all.
Shes definitely Irish and Italian.
If she’s italian and Irish, then what’s up with her first name? No offense, but her first name sounds black unless I’m prouncing it wrong.
It’s Irish.
Yep, she’s of Italian and Irish descent, born in Canada. Either way, parents can choose to name their children anything they like – it doesn’t have to relate to ancestry. In her case, her parents chose an Irish name, but they decided to modify the spelling a little bit, so that others would be better able to pronounce it. At least that’s what she has said in an interview.
LMAO you’re kidding right? xD
