Birth Name: Scott David Aukerman

Place of Birth: Savannah, Georgia, U.S.

Date of Birth: July 2, 1970

Ethnicity: German, English, Scottish, Dutch, Welsh, likely 1/16th Indonesian/Javanese

Scott Aukerman is an American writer, actor, comedian, television personality, director, producer, and podcast host. He is known for the weekly podcast Comedy Bang Bang.

Scott is married to comedian Kulap Vilaysack, who is of Laotian descent. The couple has a daughter.

Scott’s paternal grandfather is Burt Morrison Aukerman (the son of Burt Cleaveland Aukerman and Edna Dorothy Morrison).

Scott’s paternal grandmother is Betty Lou Traphagen (the daughter of Julian Edwin Traphagen and Pearl Angeline Chapin). Pearl’s mother’s surname was Ing.

Scott’s maternal grandfather is David Ensley Welborn (the son of Stroud Washington Welborn and Martha “Mattie” Appling/Apling). David was born in Kansas. Stroud was the son of Thomas Jefferson Welborn and Minerva Hooton. Martha was the daughter of David E. Appling/Apling and Sarah Ann Morgan.

Scott’s maternal grandmother is Margaret Jean D’Ablaing/De Ablaings (the daughter of Baron Gerrit/Garritt D’Ablaing Van Giessenburg/Geissenberg and Maude M. Painter). Scott’s grandmother Margaret was born in Washington. Gerrit was born as in Utrecht, the Netherlands, to a Dutch-born father and an Indonesian-born mother, Anna D. Anna’s race is listed as “Indonesian” on the 1880 U.S. Census, so she was possibly of Javanese descent.

Bearboy, it wasn’t Scott who said he is Jewish in that interview. Rather, it was the interviewer, Jesse David Fox, who was talking about himself.

Scott’s father isn’t Jewish and I don’t think his mother is, either.
