Samantha Harris is an American television presenter, model, entertainment reporter, and actress. She has been a co-host of Dancing with the Stars and a correspondent at Entertainment Tonight.

She is the daughter of Bonnie, a dancer, and Richard Shapiro, a rock ‘n’ roll promoter. Her parents founded renaissance faire King Richard’s Faire, in Carver, Massachusetts. Samantha is married to Michael Hess, with whom she has two children.

Samantha’s paternal grandfather was Byron Maurice Shapiro (the son of Samuel Leonard Shapiro and Rose Karon). Samuel was born in Minnesota, to parents from Russia. Rose was born in Poland, the daughter of Abraham Itza Karon and Libby Hanna Miller.

Samanatha’s paternal grandmother was named Marjorie Jane Chapman.
