Sam Sparro is an Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is known for his single “Black and Gold.”

He is the son of Karyn, an organ player, and Chris Falson, a gospel minister and recording artist, who has written music for Star Trek and Queer Eye. He is said to have a Maltese grandfather. Sam’s family moved to Los Angeles, California, U.S., when he was ten, after his father signed a soul recording contract. He later returned to Sydney, then moved to London, England. Sam is married to DJ Zion Lennox.

Sam’s maternal grandfather’s surname is Frankland.
