Ronald Colman was a British actor. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for A Double Life (1947).

Ronald was the son of Marjory and Charles Colman, a silk merchant. His father was English. His mother was born in Singapore, to Scottish parents. He was married to English theatre and film actress Benita Hume, until his death, with whom he had a daughter.

Ronald’s paternal grandfather was Frederick Charles Colman (the son of Joseph Colman and Susannah Hart).

Ronald’s paternal grandmother was Susannah Bonner (the daughter of James Bonner and Mary Williams).
