What is the deal with these bi-racial actors/actresses using this Afro-? title to identify who they are. Why are they so ashamed to acknowledge they are African American (plain ole black folk).
Well as far as Rhianna goes she probably wouldnt say she is african american because she is not from America. America is the only country that makes such a big deal on race labels when they say they are afro- whatever they are saying they have african ancestry but they are from that country i will use Barbados for an example because this is about Rhianna only in america we are just black and if you have a drop of black in you you are considered black it goes back to slavery while that happened more than 400 years ago the effects are still around today

I’m also from barbados and there are many bajans like Rihanna who either has a big or small nose, light or dark skin, or curly or nappy hair, we all have different features. Growing up I was always asked if I’m indian because of my hair, but no. I’m bajan.
