Rachael Leigh Cook is an American actress, model, producer, and voice actress. She has starred in the films The Baby-Sitters Club, Tom and Huck (1995), She’s All That, Josie and the Pussycats, and Antitrust, and on television’s Into the West and Perception; and had voice roles on the show Robot Chicken and in the Final Fantasy video game series. She has also been credited as Rachel Leigh Cook.
Rachael is the daughter of Joanne, a cooking instructor, and Thomas Cook, a social worker and stand-up comedian. She has two children with her former husband, Canadian-New Zealand actor Daniel Gillies.
Rachael’s paternal grandfather was Merlin Glenn Cook (the son of Thomas Howard Cook and Alta Eloise Glenn). Merlin was born in Iowa. Thomas was the son of Jerome C. Cook and Malinda Jane Coffets. Alta was the daughter of Francis Marion Glenn and Susan J. Strickell, whose parents were English.
