Patrick Stewart is an English actor. He is known for starring as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the shows Star Trek: The Next Generation and Picard, as well as in films and other entries into the Star Trek universe, for playing Professor X in the X-Men franchise; and for his roles in the films Hedda (1975), Excalibur (1981), Dune (1984), L.A. Story, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Jeffrey (1995), Conspiracy Theory, Green Room, The Kid Who Would Be King, and, in voice role, The Pagemaster, The Prince of Egypt, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Chicken Little, Gnomeo & Juliet, and Ted; on television’s Coronation Street, Fall of Eagles, I, Claudius (1976), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (1979), Frasier, Moby Dick (1998), A Christmas Carol (1999), The Lion in Winter (2003), American Dad!, Extras, and Blunt Talk; and in numerous acclaimed plays on stage.

Patrick is the son of Gladys (Barrowclough), a weaver and textile worker, and Alfred George Stewart, a general labourer and postman, who was a regimental sergeant major during WWII. He was raised in Jarrow. Patrick is married to singer and songwriter Sunny Ozell. He has two children with his former wife Sheila Falconer.

Patrick’s paternal grandfather was named William Albert Stewart (the son of George Francis Stewart). William was born in St Georges in the East, London.

Patrick’s paternal grandmother was Emily Clara Larkins (the daughter of John Larkins and Margaret Andrew). Emily was born in St. Luke, London, England. John was the son of John Larkins and Harriet Mead. Margaret was the daughter of Alexander Andrew, whose own father was born in New Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire, Scotland, and of Anne/Ann Round.

Patrick’s maternal grandfather was Freedom Barrowclough (the son of Jonas Barrowclough and Elizabeth Mountain). Freedom was born in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England. Jonas was the son of John Barrowclough and Hannah Hallas. Elizabeth was the daughter of Robert Mountain and Mary Copley.

Patrick’s maternal grandmother was Mary Anne Hirst (the daughter of John Hirst and Elizabeth Lockwood). Mary Anne was born in Yorkshire. John was the son of Joseph Hirst. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Lockwood.

    One of my german professors actually looks a lot like Patrick Stewart. Same eyes, head shape and nose but slightly fuller lips.
