Patrick Leahy is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he has served as State’s Attorney of Chittenden County, from May 10, 1966 to January 2, 1975, a U.S. Senator from Vermont, from January 3, 1975 to January 3, 2023, and as President pro tempore of the U.S. Senate, from December 17, 2012 to January 3, 2015, and again, from January 20, 2021 to January 3, 2023, among other duties. He has appeared in several Batman films.
Patrick is the son of Alba Maria (Zambon Vialmin) and Howard Francis Leahy. He is married to Marcelle Pomerleau, with whom he has three children.
