Nicole Scherzinger is an American recording artist, dancer, television personality, and actress. She was the lead vocalist of The Pussycat Dolls, a band whose members also included Carmit Bachar, Kaya Jones, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt, as well as Asia Nitollano. She has also been credited as Nicole Kea.
She is the daughter of Rosemary Elikalani (Frederick) Scherzinger and Alfonso A[lueta] Valiente, Jr. Her father is Filipino, from the Batanes Islands in the Philippines. Her mother has Native Hawaiian, Ukrainian, and Polish, ancestry. Her mother was a professional hula dancer. Nicole’s surname comes from her stepfather, Gary Scherzinger, who has German ancestry. She was raised partly in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nicole’s paternal grandfather was Alfonso Arca Valiente (the son of Salvador Valiente y Batiforra, or Salvador Batiforra Valiente in Filipino, and of Adriana Arca e Idel, or Adriana Idel Arca in Filipino). Nicole’s grandfather Alfonso was born in Kauai County, Hawaii, to Filipino parents, the former from Basco, Batanes. Salvador was the son of Gaspar Valiente and Martina Batiforra. Adriana was the daughter of Domingo Arca and Máxima Idel.
Nicole’s paternal grandmother was Joaquina “Jojo” Alueta y Ferido (or Joaquina Ferido Alueta in Filipino, the daughter of Juan Alueta y Amarante, or Juan Amarante Alueta in Filipino, and of Aniceta Ferido y Figura, or Aniceta Figura Ferido in Filipino). Joaquina was a Filipino emigrant, from Manila. Juan was the son of Francisco Alueta and María Amarante. Aniceta was the daughter of Mateo Ferido and Raymunda Figura.
Nicole’s maternal grandfather is John Irvin Frederick (the son of William F. Frederick and Stella Bolka). John was born in New York. William was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Polish parents, William Frederick/Fredrick and Frances Vencowski/Viencoski/Vinskowski. Stella was born in Pennsylvania, to ethnic Ukrainian parents from Ulucz, Poland, Michael Bolka and Catherine/Kathryn.
Nicole’s maternal grandmother is Katherine P. Lenchanko, now Katherine Frederick (the daughter of John Ivan Lenchanko, Sr. and Angeline Kawailani Kea). Katherine was born in Hawaii. John was the son of Nikita Demidovich/Dimidovich Lenichenko/Lenitchenko/Lesnichenko and Praskovia/Paraskovia Kuzminichna/Kuzminisha Zenchenko. They were ethnic Ukrainian emigrants, who were Russian Orthodox Christians from the Kiev region, a village called Berezno. Nikita was one of 165 Russian and Ukrainian immigrants in Hawaii who wished to return to his native country, and sent an application for that. Pictures of, and information about, Nicole’s maternal great-grandfather John, and his family, can be seen here and here (Nicole’s great-grandfather is at the center of the picture at the second link, leaning on his father).
Nicole’s great-grandmother Angeline was the daughter of John Louis Kea/Mano and Margaret Dionicia/Dionisia Namakaokalani “Maggie” Iopa, and was of Native Hawaiian background.

Wonder if her grandmother was actually Mongolian (btw shes from quite a big town called Vladivostok which is well-known as a homeland for most of Russian Chinese ppl) rather than truly “Russian” lol she doesnt look Slavic at all
so you’re going to tell HER what SHE is? If she said that she is Russian then she is Russian not Ukrainian
“to tell her what she is”. One should not do it – in general. But one should explain some
Pussy Doll even her own heritage. No doubt, she
believe, Ukraine and Russia is the same and is in
Himalaya
Her second name Prescovia (Russian: Прасковья), its very old Russian name.
p.s Hate it when people do not know anything about the country, and to speak with confidence about it. I live in Russia and don’t know no one Mongolian or of Mongolian blood, and for your version of almost every Russian have Mongolian (Asian) roots! It is not true!
Is this ur Russian Alias FOLLERS? Nice one!
Is this an ANTI-Eastern European hate site? Judging by the comments and ignorant posters sure looks like one.
I’m American mostly (Anglo). But my grandma was of Easter European descent. I certainly do not appreciate all the racism and BS Eastern Euros seem to get from this site.
Please, I’m Russian and I know what i talking about. It is pronounced as Prascovya (Prascovia) and came from Greek name Paraskevi. Name outdated, now few have so called. There she said: Hi Moscow! I’m Prascovya! I have Russian blood! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsXY_bbz5ro
Russian women with the same name: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pasha_Angelina http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Praskovia_Saltykova
Always the same trick. She wanted russian people
to spend more geld for tickets.
Are they really happy, if some celebrity has (aledgerly) 1% russian blood?
West european people would never dispute,
is smb f.e. 1/32 irish or 1/32 scottish, cuz it’s
absolutely irrelevant.
Even Didi Bohlen confessed, that he told in Moscow,
he has a russian grandfather to have more money.
Is it necessary? You have enough 100% ethnic
russian celebrities to be proud about.
I ment ballet, opera, classic music etc.
Their commercial singers are unknown.
My point ist, the pussy is neither russian, no
ukrainean (even if Lechanko sounds polish or
ukrainean), cuz 1/32 is irrelevant
Honestly, I’m myself not a great fan of opera and
ballet. But i can be sure, nobody remember at
pussies in 10 years
Of course, she may have Ukrainian roots. I don’t share Russian, Ukrainians and Belarusians, for me it is one nation that has been divided for centuries ago. And many Russian have Ukrainian, Belarusian and\or Polish roots, like many Ukrainians have Belarussian, Russian, etc. So I would not be surprised if she really does have Ukrainian roots on that side.
I don’t think, the name Prescovia has smth with russian
@follers
I was wondering how John Ivan Lenchanko, Sr knew the Native Hawaiian woman, probably he was a sailor or something like that
John’s parents (Niketa Dimtri Lenchanko and Paraskovia Zenchenko) moved from the Ukraine or Russia to Hawaii. I imagine they went through the Pacific. At least their first child was still born in Europe, but most of the rest of their children, including John, were born in Hawaii.
Given how few Ukrainians there are in Hawaii, I would guess that large Ukrainian brood of children now has maybe hundreds of brown-skinned descendants across the island.

Ah, yes, see, John’s obituary states that he was born in Keanae, Maui (c. 1913).
So their departure from Eastern Europe did not have anything to do with the Russian Revolution. Just a rare case of Ukrainian to Hawaiian immigration.

Another btw – John by himself had 63 great-grandchildren, at the time of his death in 2001.
@follers
(John by himself had 63 great-grandchildren, at the time of his death)
You know,I was just about to say wow that’s a lot.However thinking about it,my Paternal grandma(big mama)lol,had 105 great grandchildren(at the time of her passing).Also my Medea(my Maternal grandma),had 73.
People who are Filipino need to stop claiming Spanish. Idk why a lot of them are so ashamed of being Filipino. Just because the Spanish were there doesn’t mean all of you have the blood. Be proud to be Filipino (Asian)!!!
I think, most Philipinos are asian, but some of them
have spain ancestry. The same thing with “latinos”.
C.Diaz looks european, not “latina”.
Scherzinger has definetly asian blood.
Funny, that Diaz is one of Holywood “latinas”, alongside with Hayek (she is at least half-latina).A lot of people confuse spain (european) people
and spain-speaking native people from south and
middle america.
She truly looks like what the average person from earth would look like.
..would look like in 100/200 years from now you would say? Right!
I am from a filipino, european, spanish, chinese, indian and australian heritage… and i am proud to be all of those…i am happy that i have a filipino blood in me like nicole..she is very beautiful…i wish i was that pretty
my neices are half filipino/european/native american 1 has blond hair blue eyes fair skin the other one has brown hair/eyes. btw both parents have black hair/brown eyes.
weird lol
Yes, weird. You brother should carry-out a DNA-test
