Nick is the son of Emilia Florence “Millie” (Granata) and Nick Castle (born Nicholas Casaccio), an actor and choreographer. His grandparents were Italian.

Nick’s paternal grandfather was named Louis Casaccio.

Nick’s paternal grandmother was named Pasqualina Semonette.
