Naomi Wolf is an American feminist author, journalist, and conspiracy theorist. She was a political advisor to Al Gore and Bill Clinton. She has written the books “The Beauty Myth,” “The End of America,” and “Vagina: A New Biography.”

Her father, Leonard/Ludovic Wolf, was a gothic horror scholar and Yiddish translator, and poet, author, and teacher. He was born in Vulcan, Romania, and came to the U.S. in 1930. Her mother, Deborah Goleman, an anthropologist and author, wrote the book “The Lesbian Community.”

She is married to U.S. Army Veteran and private detective Brian William O’Shea. She has two children with her former husband, journalist and book author David Shipley.

Naomi’s paternal grandfather was named Joseph Wolf (the son of Mordecai/Mordechai Wolf and Ita). Joseph was born in Kolochava, Zakarpats’ka, Ukraine, to parents from Hungary. Moredecai was the son of Leib Wolf.

Naomi’s paternal grandmother was Rose Ita Engel (the daughter of Isaac/Isack Engel and Goldie Schmulovitz). Rose’s parents were from Czechia/Hungary. Goldie was the daughter of Nissan/Nathan Shiavitz/Schmulovitz/Smilovic and Sylvia/Sara Nemeth.

Naomi’s maternal grandfather was named Irving Goleman.

Naomi’s maternal grandmother was Fay Weinberg (the daughter of Jacob Louis Weinberg and Emma W. Levinson). Jacob was born in Pieski, Masty District, Hrodna Region, Belarus, the son of Simon Dumovsky/Weinberg. Emma was born in Russia, the daughter of Abraham Levinson and Fannie.
