Mohammed Amer is a Kuwaiti-American stand-up comedian and actor. He has appeared in the films Americanish and Black Adam, and starred on the shows Ramy and Mo, the latter of which he also co-created. He is also known as Mo Amer and Mohammed Najjar.

Mohammed was born in Kuwait, where his father was an engineer for the Kuwait Oil Company. He attended a British school in Kuwait, learning English in a British accent. During the Gulf War in 1990-91, most of his family left for Houston, Texas, U.S., where his father was a Telecom engineer. Mohammed became a U.S. citizen in 2009. He is married to a Mexican-American woman. He is a Muslim.
