Miguel Cabrera is a Venezuelan professional baseball player. A first baseman, third baseman, and designated hitter, he played for the Florida Marlins and the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He started The Miguel Cabrera Foundation, to help a variety of children’s funds. He is nicknamed “Miggy.”

Miguel is the son of Gregoria Torres and Miguel Cabrera. At fourteen, he enrolled in a baseball school in Cagua. He is married to Rosangel. He has five children, including three with Rosangel. Miguel is a Catholic, and also practices Santería.
