Max’s paternal grandfather was Arnold M. Ehrich (the son of Joseph Ehrich and Martha Ginsberg). Arnold was born in New Jersey, to an Austrian Jewish father and a Russian Jewish mother.

Max’s paternal grandmother is Ramona Hope Wachtel (the daughter of Walter William Wachtel and Sylvia Leibov). Ramona was born in Pennsylvania. Sylvia was the daughter of Russian Jewish parents, Israel Leibowitz/Leibov, who was born in Odessa, and Rose.

Max’s maternal grandfather was named Sidney/Sydney Green (the son of Myer Green and Mary D.). Sidney was born in Massachusetts. Myer was a Russian Jewish immigrant.

Max’s maternal grandmother was Eleanor Freed (the daughter of Harry Freed and Rhoda Lillian Rabinovitz). Eleanor was born in Massachusetts. Harry was born in Massachusetts, to Russian Jewish parents. Rhoda was a Jewish emigrant, from Vilna, Lithuania, and was the daughter of Paul Arthur Rabinovitz and Rebecca Sagrin.

    From a big eyebrown guy to another : That’s a respectable pair of eyebrowns you got there, son. And he looks a bit slavic, his jewish ancestors lived in places like Ukraine and Poland? So he might have some eastern european.

    Add the Ukrainian Jewish tag since Odessa is in Ukraine. But it still counts as Russian Jewish since it was part of Soviet Union and the Russian Empire.
