Matt Amodio is an American game show contestant. He is known for his run on Jeopardy!, where he holds the record for third-most number of consecutive games won, 38, and for winning the third-highest amount of prize money in regular-season play.

Matt’s maternal grandfather was Abraham Solowitch (the son of Sol Solowitch and Bessie Harris). Abraham was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Ukrainian Jewish parents. Sol was the son of Yitzchak Solowitch. Bessie was born in Odessa.

Matt’s maternal grandmother was Esther Kapelnick (the daughter of Beryl/Ben Kapelnick and Malka/Mollie Lea Scheinwald). Esther was born in Ohio, to Ukrainian Jewish/Russian Jewish parents.
