Mark DeSaulnier is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from California, since January 3, 2015.

Mark is the son of Virginia and Edward DeSaulnier. He has two children with his former wife Melinda Clune.

Mark’s paternal grandfather was Edward Joseph DeSaulnier (the son of Antoine DeSaulnier and Alphonsine Handsly). Antoine was born in Québec, Canada, the son of Paul L. DeSaulnier and Marie Rose Crochiere.
