Maiara Walsh is an American and Brazilian actress and singer. She is known for playing Ana Solis on the sixth season of the ABC show Desperate Housewives, and Meena Paroom on the Disney Channel sitcom Cory in the House.
Maiara was born in Seattle, Washington. Her father is American, and has German, Irish, English, and French-Canadian ancestry. Her mother is Brazilian. Maiara speaks fluent Portuguese and is proficient in Spanish. Maiara and her family moved to São Paulo, Brazil, when she was two years old. At eleven, she moved to Simi Valley, California, to pursue her acting career.

Maiara’s paternal grandfather was Laurence Mason Walsh (the son of Royal Hill Walsh and Ina Mae Swihart). Laurence was born in Washington. Royal was the son of Edward Francis Walsh and Helen Julia Mason, whose parents were English. Ina was the daughter of Isaiah H. Swihart and Anna Tonebaugh.
Maira’s paternal grandmother was Margaret “Peggy” Cahail (the daughter of Ira Earl Cahail and Alice Stella Kellogg). Margaret was born in Washington. Ira was the son of Albert Lemuel Cahail and Elizabeth Saunders. Alice was the daughter of Albert Henry Kellogg and Edith Hannah Dillon, whose mother was Canadian.

Brazilian is not a ethnic group or a race it is a nationality. Her mother’s background is probably Portuguese Mestizo(Portuguese,NativeAmerican and possibly black).

Walsh is a very Irish surname. It’s not anglo at all
Yeah ur probably right, but no websites state that shes half irish, they all say shes half american and half brazilian.
I just think that with a surname like Walsh it’s more likely that she is half American-Irish as opposed to half American-English. Walsh (sometimes Walshe) is one of the most common Irish surnames … the only English people with Walsh as a surname would be of Irish descent
