Lucky McKee is an American director, writer, and actor. He has directed the films May (2002), which he also wrote, The Woods (2006), The Woman (2011), which he co-wrote, Blood Money, and Old Man, and co-directed the films All Cheerleaders Die (both versions, both of which he co-wrote) and Red (2008).

Lucky’s paternal grandfather was Edward Lucky McKee (the son of Glenn/Glen Martin McKee and Rose/Rosa C. Lisler). Edward was born in Oklahoma. Glenn was born in Missouri, the son of Ola. Rose was born in Missouri, to parents from Germany.

Lucky’s paternal grandmother was Clara Juana Canady (the daughter of Edwin G. “Edd/Ed” Canady and Nora B. Smith). Clara was born in Oklahoma. Edwin was born in Kansas, the son of Calvin Gilson Canady and Iva N. Ishmael. Nora was born in Kansas, the daughter of Alonzo Millard Smith and Ary Steeves.

Lucky’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Ayres.
