Lois is the daughter of Carrie and William Humbert. She has a daughter with her former husband, Wesley Smith.

Lois’ paternal grandfather was William Lee Humbert (the son of William Humbert and Lydia Ann Reid). Lois’ grandfather William was born in Iowa. Lois’ great-grandfather William was born in Pennsylvania, the son of William Humbert and Lorena Izenhart. Lydia was born in New Jersey, the daughter of James Reed and Elizabeth.

Lois’ paternal grandmother was Jennie Scoville Lacock (the daughter of The Rev. Absolom Lacock and Jane Haney). Jennie was born in Kansas. Absolom was born in Indiana or Wisconsin, the son of Reuben Laycock/Lacock and Miranda Wetherbee. Jane was born in New York.
