Lloyd Bochner was a Canadian actor.
He was the son of Frieda (Kenen/Kennen) and Charles Abraham Bochner. His uncle, Isaiah L. Kenen, was a Canadian-born journalist, lawyer, and philanthropist, who founded the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs. His father was born in Toronto, and his mother was born in the U.S., both of them to Jewish emigrant parents from the Russian Empire.
With his wife, Ruth (Rohrer), a concert pianist, he had three children, including actor Hart Bochner.
Lloyd’s paternal grandfather was Bunim/Benjamin Menachem Mendel “Max” Bochner (the son of Moishe/Moses/Morris Bochner and Rachel/Rosa Ester Eisen). Bunim’s family was from Pomarin, Ukraine. Moishe was the son of Mordecai/Mordechai Zalman Bochner and Mindel Sigal.
Lloyd’s paternal grandmother was named Chana “Annie” Freed. Chana was born in Pomarin.
Lloyd’s maternal grandfather was named Mendel/Manuel Kenen (the son of Emmanuel Isaac Kenen). Mendel was born in Kiev, Ukraine.
Lloyd’s maternal grandmother was named Rebecca/Rebeka Freedberg.
