Lisa Niemi is an American writer, director, actress, and dancer.

She is the daughter of Edna, a nurse, and Edmond Haapaniemi, who was Director of Water Safety Services at the Red Cross. She is married to jeweler Albert DePrisco. Lisa was previously married to dancer, actor, singer, and songwriter Patrick Swayze, until his death.

All of her grandparents were Finnish immigrants.

Lisa’s paternal grandfather was Iisakki/Isaac Iisakipoika Haapaniemi (the son of Isak/Isaac Isakinpoika Turja/Haapaniemi and Katarina Margareta Jakobsdotter Vainionpää).
