Larry the Cable Guy is an American comedian, actor, country music artist, and radio personality. He is the son of Shirley J. (Porr) and Thomas Von Whitney, a guitarist, entertainer, and Christian minister. He is married to Cara, with whom he has two children.

Larry’s paternal grandfather was Deo Von Whitney (the son of Thomas Jefferson Whitney and Zella Pearl McGrew). Deo was born in Nebraska. Thomas was the son of Thomas Jefferson Whitney and Martha J. Kincaid. Zella was the daughter of William Henry Harvey McGrew and Rebecca Ellen Morris.

Larry’s paternal grandmother was Julia Maude Davis (the daughter of Jonathan Littleton Davis II and Edith Cordelia Hetherington). Julia was born in Kansas. Jonathan was the son of Jonathan Davis and Sarah Jane Owens. Edith was the daughter of George Shannon Hetherington and Ada Bell Jerome.
