Here is some more genealogy for ya. The family tree of Megan’s maternal great-grandparents, the Nelsons. Yes, they were both born with the surname “Nelson”.

None of these people seem Irish (the O’kind) to me in the slightest.
I think this is fascinating how much you can find about her ancestors, ethnicity, and family history. :D
My post about Megan Fox’s genealogy is now up. You should check it out on Megan’s page. You also found out more about her ancestry.
What? Are you serious? Or are you joking? LOL. I didn’t know that.
No, I’m not joking. Ashton’s paternal grandfather was named “Kutcher” and so was his maternal grandmother’s mother. They were both named “Kutcher” because they were/are brother and sister.
Doesn’t look like Ashton Kutcher has ever discussed this publically. Perhaps that is understandable.
At least it was Megan’s great grandparents that were inbred, and you have nothing to be ashamed of.
It’s a bit of a stereotype that white Southerners inbreed. It’s kind of funny that Megan Fox’s ancestors and Ashton Kutcher’s parents fall into the stereotype.
Well, Megan Fox’s great grandparents fall into the stereotype actually.
How do people know Kutcher is of Bohemian (Czech) descent? The moderator doesn’t have it listed under his ethnicity.

He’s the interview where Megan says that her family was “very strict Pentescostal (?)”
I don’t know how to spell it, so I know I butchered that word.
I love Megan Fox.
Givens – or Given – is an Irish surname. Not all have “O” in front of them.
I thought Katharine was Jewish. I am disappointed.
A few people are saying Katharine looks Native American or Hispanic, but to be honest there are a lot of Irish, Welsh & Scottish people who have dark features such as the dark hair, dark eyes & some have the tanned skin too when exposed to the sun. You only have to look at people like Andrea Corr who is Irish, Catherine Zeta Jones who is half Irish & Welsh (And she looks Hispanic), Dervla Kirwan who is Irish, Gerard Butler who is Scottish & of Irish descent & even Clive Owen who is half Welsh & English. Scotland, Ireland & Wales are all Celtic nations & a lot of the people, especially from Wales & Ireland are supposedly descendants from people of the Basque region of Spain who emigrated thousands of years ago to the UK. Obviously not all Welsh, Irish & Scottish people have dark features, but a lot of people from the British Isles are dark featured. So maybe Katharine’s Irish & Scottish ancestry influences her dark hair & eyes, etc. I hope this helps other people to understand that you can get very dark featured European’s too without having Native American, Asian or Hispanic ancestry.
You know a lot about the ethnicity of celebrities. I have only researched Megan Fox’s. It was a fascinating find. I even found her parents’ marriage license and her birth certificate. Her family history is rooted in Roane County, Tennessee.
How do you know Katharine’s mama is not Jewish?
I made a long post about Megan Fox’s genealogy on her page just a couple of minutes ago. I posted some of her maternal family tree, pictures of her mom, sister, and cousins, the marriage licenses of her parents and grandparents, census records of her grandparents and great grandparents, and I even posted U.S. Public Records as well as her grandfather’s World War I Draft Registration Card.
It’s under moderation. You’ll have to wait until ethnic approves of it.
But Megan’s mom’s full name is Gloria Darlene Cisson. Her maternal grandparents were Clay Cisson and Thelma Macel Nelson. Clay Cisson’s parents were William Harrison Cisson and Eva Hale. Thelma’s parents were James and Dailey Nelson.
Megan’s dad’s full name is Franklin Thomas Fox, and his parents were Euel Fox (whose parents were Earl and Nila Fox) and Vivian Vier (?). I got her grandparents from her parents’ official marriage license. Both of her parents put their race as white, and so did her grandparents and great grandparents.
I know that Fox is a Irish or English surname. I’m not sure about Cisson, Vier, Hale, Nelson, and what not, but they sound Irish/English/Scottish to me, too. Megan said in a past interview that she was mostly “dark Irish” so that kind of makes sense.
She grew up in Florida, but all of her family history is in Tennessee and a lot of it dates back to County Tipperary, one of the first Irish communities established in the 13th century.
From there, I found pictures of Megan’s cousins, aunts, and uncles.
I’m a Megan Fox fan so I did a lot of research.
Megan’s mom’s full name is Gloria Darlene Cisson, and her dad’s full name is Franklin Thomas Fox. The names on her genealogy were Cisson, Fox, Vier, and Nelson.
If it helps, in a past interview, Megan said she was mostly “dark Irish.”
And both of her parents are white, according to their marriage license.

Here, if you like Megan Fox so much, here is some of what I could find:
Here is a genealogy of her paternal grandfather. Though his wife is listed as another woman. Maybe he was married twice.

William Harrison Cisson

Yes, it seems some of her grandparents were married more than once. For William Harrison Cisson, he was married to Sally Martin as well as Eva Hale. Eva Hale is for sure Clay Cisson’s mom (Megan’s maternal grandpa).
Well, Megan was raised Roman Catholic by her mom and step dad, Tony Tonachio, who is a Italian Catholic.

Her mom was born July 4, 1952.
Her dad was born January 1, 1951.

Census records of her grandparents
I assumed her family was Irish Catholic, but you’re right about her being from a Protestant background. I guess Catholicism was influenced when Megan’s mom married her step-dad.
She may well in fact get her dark looks from her mother’s side, but there’s also a chance she got them from her father’s side too. Even if her father isn’t dark haired, etc, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have darker genes in his family.
By the way good work on Megan Fox’s genealogy! ;)
She is so pretty and graceful-looking! She looks a tiny bit Native American….something about the cheekbones. : )
She doesn’t look an ounce of Native American.
more hispanic or something…
Hispanic? Wtf.. Hispanic people aren’t a race or a look, she looks like a European.. take it from a European and yes she could pass as a Spanish (EUROPEAN) person.. but if you meant a mestizo or a mulato then no she doesn’t look like one she looks fully Caucasian, and fyi many Europeans have high cheek bones, especially people from Eastern Europe and Eastern parts of Germany.
