    There was no Northern Ireland when his family left Ireland – thats a recent invention. So why the use of it?

    The Morrisons were Gaels and closely related to the Irish. Scotland was divided between Gaels/Highlanders and Lowlanders. The Irish employed them as “Gallowgas”.

    They had been in Ireland for centuries. So the Morrisons should really be regarded as Irish.

      (He was not a RACIST! He was a noble American)

      How do you know what he was?There are probably many things about the man,you may not know.It wouldn’t surprise me if he was,after all he grew up in an era when it was very popular to be that.There are rumors about him being bi-sexual,as well as a number of hollywoods leading men.Is any of that true,the heck if I know,but it could be.

        he married 3 white catholic hispanics women, he was just a Republican, and straight

          @andrew

          (he married 3 white catholic hispanics women)

          First they were latin women,so we have no ideal how white they were;especially that last one.Also bi-sexual means you like both men and women.So being married,isn’t going to stop him from chasing the dog,if you know what I mean.Rock Hudson, Katharine Hepburn were both married, didn’t stop them.Katharine freely admitted to having other Hollywood starlets as her lovers

          (he was just a Republican)

          What does this have to do with anything?Rock Hudson was a conservative Republican,and was gay/bi.

          (he was straight)

          I going to go out on a limb here ,an assume you didn’t know the man.So there’s no way for you to know what his sexual orientation was.However,if he was or wasn’t doesn’t matter to me.I still enjoy his old movies,even thou he probably was racist.

            Fuzzybear, the claims that he was bi came from fantasists. The stuff they wrote was almost laughable. It sound like you are just trolling.

      @sadie

      Okay,I went to look up some of comments

      ( “I believe in white supremacy until blacks are educated to a point of responsibility.”)

      it was 1971,blacks were pretty well educated at that point,so yes he does come off as being racist.
