Jérôme Boateng is a German professional footballer. A centre-back, he plays for Serie A club Salernitana. He has also been with Hertha BSC II, Hertha BSC, Hamburger SV, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Lyon, and the German national team. He is 6′4″.
His father, Prince Boateng, is Ghanaian. His mother, Martina, is German. His paternal half-brother is professional footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng.
