Jérôme Boateng is a German professional footballer. He was a centre-back, who has played with Hertha BSC II, Hertha BSC, Hamburger SV, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Lyon. He is 6′4″.

His father, Prince Boateng, is Ghanaian. His mother, Martina, is German. His paternal half-brother is professional footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng. His uncle, Yaw Boateng Gyan, was the National Organizer of the NDC (National Democratic Congress) in Ghana. A picture of Jérôme’s parents can be seen here.
