Jennifer Lopez is an American singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, producer, and television personality. Her roles include Blood and Wine, Selena, Out of Sight, The Cell, The Wedding Planner, Shall We Dance?, Hustlers, and Anaconda, among many other films.
Her parents, Guadalupe Rodríguez and David López, are Puerto Rican. Her sister, Lydia Lopez, is a journalist. Jennifer is married to actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck. She has two children with her former husband, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor Marc Anthony, who is also Puerto Rican. Her sister is DJ Lynda Lopez.

Jennifer’s maternal grandfather was named José Julio Rodríguez y Febres (the son of a father surnamed Rodríguez, and of Justina Febres).
Jennifer’s maternal grandmother was Julia Rivera y Rosado (the daughter of Vicente Rivera y Rivera and María Rosado y Rodríguez). Julia was born in Jayuya, Jayuya, Puerto Rico. Vicente was from Ponce, the son of Valentín Rivera y Rivera and Narcisa Rivera y Rivera. Valentín and Narcisa were born with the same paternal and maternal family names. Jennifer’s great-grandmother María was the daughter of Antonio Rosado and Rodulfa Rodríguez.

Actually Mariah is virtually half black from her dad who was an Afro Latino (there are black Venezuelans) and her kids dad is black so they are near 75% black. You cant always judge admixture by looks.

People talk about Americas:” One drop rule” makes everyone with one drop of African blood black. But no it does not. Only black people who look black or light skinned black will be considered Black. If you look white or with an undetermined racial look, you will not be considered BLack. People judge upon appearances. Most Puerto Rico are African mixed but they are not placed in the Black category. And Puerto Rico has some really really black tar midnight people. Ive been there. Not everyone looks the same. Then mestizos and middle easterners in America are considered white. The American white category is much broader than the Black category.

Her father look fully Caucasian and her mother appears to have a European, native and African mixture. Her sisters look mestizo to European mostly. Jennifer out her siblings looks the most likely to show African admixture. The Lopez Family look mostly European with admixtures of Native and black. But the African admixtures appears relatively low compared to native.

And according to DNA Tribes SNP Admixture Results by Population 2013, Puerto Ricans are 72.2% West Eurasian (49% European, 18.3% Saharan-Arabian, 4.9% West Asian), 12.7% Native American, 12.5% Sub-Saharan African, and 1.4% Northeast African.[210]
Actually if you read some articles Most Puerto Ricans like to erase the African from thier blood. In America they are encouraged to marry whitrs, act white and be white. They are color struck and treat more African and darker Puerto Ricans very badly. No one from Spain or Italy considers them white. But thats another story because Spain was invaded historically by black African moors, so they were mixed in Europe before they went to Puerto Rico. Spain taught them to hate African blood and erase it.

Studies show that Spaniards are not different genetically to other Europenas. Also Moors were not well seen by Spaniar, why they would mixed with them, it tat had been hapeed in a massive way, they would have invented a word to call them. Finaly, all Moors in Spain were not black, many famous Moors were light skinned and indeed blonde, in many pictures Moors are painted mostly with light skinned not black, Moor was more relationed with religion than race.

Well marjanel why does anybody do anything? Why did the south African people mix with those whites that treated them like crap? Why did the American Indian mix with the whites , that gave them smallpox? The Moors were the conquers, so maybe it was tribute or who knows, maybe they actually like them. Also they did have named for the their descendants(moriscos)

You’re right , all moors weren’t black. The moors came there to convert, not replace. They simply added to the population. Now were talking 800 yrs of mixing, you’re going to have all colors of moors, plus the converts. That’s why you have some light skin moors, blondes so on. However the majority of moors in paintings are black, I use to have a site bookmarked, that had nothing but Moorish pics, all the way back to the 8th century. Also as far as literature goes I had actually put some books on here that clearly said the moors were black, coal skin, pitch etc.. Also the laws of the U.S. who dealt with moors clearly indicated that moors were black. Now the ones in Spain, the majority probably were white, or mixed

She looks mostly Spanish and native with a little black admixture. I’m talking 20 percent or less in African.
@CMW85, yes we finally agree on something. Singer Mariah Carey has more African admixture than JLO and Mariah looks lighter, (her face is chubbier, rounded like Africans, Europeanhave sharper faces and less face fat, skin tone does not always indicate admixture. Dark skin and curly hair is always suspect. Light skinned “mullatos” called Triguenos in Puerto Rico usually look like this, pics of Mariah Carey and her kids.
