see this is wat i mean…”good red hair” things like these really annoys me…”nappy hair” i rather use tightly coiled hair…dark ebony skin and thick lips is just as beautiful as ur “good red hair” and fair freckled skin…

I agree with you. I don’t understand what the hell is wrong with having tightly coiled hair, dark skin, and thick lips. When people say stupid crap like “good hair” it annoys me how childish and discriminatory their views are towards people of their own race/ethnicity, as if kinky or tightly coiled hair is a problem. Hair is hair, if you got it you do and if you don’t you don’t. No offense to Alaina.

People do not seem to realize that we as Americans of African descent are made to believe that there is something wrong with us. There is nothing wrong with dark skin, thick lips, and tightly coiled hair. It’s just as beautiful as any other trait of any other races, we are all unique and different in our own ways.

  5. creole baby says:

i wanna know if lloyd the singer is creole because he got some good hair to be just african american.

    • fuzzybear says:

      To Creole Baby

So your saying an African American can’t have good hair. You do know you don’t have to be a Creole to have good hair. Also African American can mean a lot of different ethnicity in one package

      • creole baby504 says:

WELL THE ONLY REASON I SAID CREOLE IS BECAUSE HE’S FROM NEW ORLEANS. AND NO AFRICAN AMERICANS CANT HAVE HAIR LIKE THAT UNLESS THEIR MIXED WITH SOMETHING BUT THEY CAN HAVE HEALTHY HAIR

AND TO MOI I AM BLACK
CREOLE IS AFRICAN, FRENCH, AND IDIAN ANCESTRY
AND MY FATHER IS BLACK SO GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT

        • creole baby504 says:

          MOTHER IS CREOLE

        • Fuzzybear says:

Well you don’t have to be mixed to have hair like his. Also African Americans are usually mixed blooded.that’s what the phrase is for to included everything you,but to show your African heritage first.also just because your creole doesn’t mean you going to have that type of hair

        • Fuzzybear says:

You father doesn’t have any mixture in him at all? Or that you know of?

          • creole baby504 says:

HE PROBABLY HAVE INDIAN ALL THE WAY DOWN HIS BLOOD LINE LIKE ANY OTHER BLACK PERSON……… BUT NOT CLOSE UP……….. AND YES IF YOU ARE CREOLE YOU WOULD HAVE A SILKY, CURLY, SOMETIMES EVEN KINKY HAIR…………..

          • creole baby504 says:

AND AFRICAN AMERICAN MEANS YOU ARE AN AFRICAN BORN IN AMERICA

          • creole baby504 says:

I MEANT YOUR ANCESTRY IS AFRICAN

          • Fuzzybear says:

Well you don’t have to tell me about Creoles ,because I’m also one. However that’s only part of what African American means.it simply a cultural I’d of African descent, but it includes everything that you are.Since most black people here have white heritage etc.the phrase was to show you African descent and the American part is to show everything else you are.most if not all the civil right leaders through history have been of some kind of mixture, you think they would make a phrase that wouldn’t included people like them. Also since anyone with black blood was called black, they came up with a phrase that would include everyone. One other thing you don’t have to be born in American to be African American. There are actual African here who have that title ,white African included and they were here

          • creole baby504 says:

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO BE ANYTHING AMERICAN IF YOU’RE NOT BORN IN AMERICAN

            AFRICAN AMERICAN-AMERICAN BORN AFRICAN ANCESTRY

FRENCH AMERICAN- AMERICAN BORN FRENCH ANCESTRY

NATIVE AMERICAN- AMERICAN BORN NATIVE ANCESTRY

            AND SO ON………..

GOD LEE DID YOU TAKE HISTORY IN SCHOOL.

          • Fuzzybear says:

I will explain this later to you

          • fuzzybear says:

            To creole baby504

African American is a political term, anyone of African descent can use it.You don’t have to be born in this country. All you have to do is be an African and become a citizen of this country, that’s all you have to do.That’s why we have white South African coming here and applying for the few benefits that African Americans get, like paying for college. The reason they can do that, although I think it’s wrong is because their actually more African than we are;by being born in the country.Legal their entitled and often do claim African American(although I don’t know why they would do that to themselves).I’ve actually talked to some of them, who said they can’t wait to get over here to use the Scholarships they say we’re to stupid to go get.So as I said, you don’t have to be born here to be called African American. If your in school you can go talk to a teacher and see if I’m telling the truth.Actually I’ve talked to African who can’t understand why we call ourselves African American;I just tell them were showing pride in our heritage. Now we’ve had a lot of different names as a group(Ethiopian, because white people at the time thought anyone who is not Egyptians was Ethiopian,Moors in the West and North West,Niger,Negro,Colored or coloured, black, and now African American. It will change again in about ten yrs

            P.S.

Yes I did take History, but this had nothing to do with that,it all about politics

          • Anonymous says:

no it does not it means your ancestors came from africa, whether that was recent or centuries ago. most of those who have recent ancestory to africa identify with the actual country of orgin.

          • fuzzybear says:

            To Anonymous

I don’t know if this is to me,but why do you think they would use the word African in the phrase African American if it didn’t mean African descent? It means taking pride in your African heritage. Now many would love to say their just american, but that’s not how this country works.I would like to know what you think it means

        • Anonymous says:

what is wrong with you? were you dropped on the head? African americans can have beautiful good hair. Thick, long, curly, etc. Okay lets flip this around and say whites have bad hair because it is thin and stringy and doesn’t hold body,Not to mention how greasy and nasty it looks after they have not washed it for 2 days. ( I don’t really believe this everyone, im just trying to prove a point, Im part French, Irish and English).

      • Alaina says:

        Thank you FUZZYBEAR
cause I’m african american with Good hair and my cousins are too
