Jason Castro is an American professional baseball player. He is a catcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Jason is married to Maris Perlman. The two have founded Castro’s Kids, a Houston-area literacy program.

Jason’s paternal grandfather was Thomas “Tom” Castro (the son of Pedro/Pete Castro and Maria/Mary Teran). Thomas was born in California. Pedro was born in Arizona or Mexico, to Mexican parents, Tiofilo Castro and Jesus Gonsales. Maria was born in Mexico.

Jason’s paternal grandmother is Pearl Marie Supriano (the daughter of Manuel Supriano and Mildred Theresa Silva). Pearl was born in California. Manuel was born in California, the son of Portuguese emigrants from São Miguel, Azores, John Supriano and Maria/Mary Correira.
