Gabby Douglas is an American artistic gymnast.
Gabby is the first African-American woman in history to become the individual all-around Olympic champion. She is also the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympics. Along with Simone Biles, she is one of two American all-around champions to win multiple gold medals in a single Olympic Games.
Gabby is the daughter of Natalie Hawkins and Timothy Douglas.
Gabby’s maternal grandfather is the son of Theodore Frank Hawkins and Yniska Josephine Carter.
