He is the son of Frederick Alexander Santos Fructuoso and Carmencita “Menchie/Chai” Querubin Magdaluyo. Eric has five children, four with his wife, and one from a previous relationship.
Eric’s paternal grandfather was Federico Novales Fructuoso (the son of Salvador Fructuoso del Rey, or Salvador del Rey Fructuoso in Filipino, and of María Isabel Novales y Carreón, or María Isabel Carreón Novales in Filipino). Federico was born in Intramuros, Manila. Salvador, who was listed as “Spanish mestizo” on records, was the son of Eulogio Fructuoso and Ignacia del Rey.
