Elizabeth Gillies is an American actress and singer. She is also known as Liz Gillies.

She is married to record producer, composer, and musician Michael Corcoran.

Elizabeth’s paternal grandfather was John Egan Gillies (the son of Duncan Edward Gillies and Garnet/Garnett Olivia Shirley). John was born in Washington, D.C. Duncan was the son of Ronald Gillies, who was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, to Scottish parents; and of Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Campbell, who was born in New York, to Irish parents. Garnet was the daughter of George Daniel Shirley and Florence Ada Burroughs.

Elizabeth’s paternal grandmother is Anne “Nancy” Hartey (the daughter of George Dewey Hartey and Ann Katherine Curby). George was the son of Thomas L. Hartey and Jennie G. Ellis, who were born in New York, both of them to Irish parents. Ann was born in Connecticut, to Irish emigrants, from Tipperary, James Curby and Johanna Breen.

Elizabeth’s maternal grandfather was George Daniel McCarthy, Jr. (the son of George Daniel McCarthy and Alberta Edith “Edie” St. Clair). Elizabeth’s grandfather George was born in Forest Hills, New York. Elizabeth’s great-grandfather George was the son of George Aloysius McCarthy, whose paternal grandparents were Irish and maternal grandparents were English and Scottish, respectively; and of Lillian Francis Schreiber, whose paternal grandparents were German, and whose maternal grandparents were Irish. Elizabeth’s great-grandmother Alberta was the daughter of William St. Clair, who was English, and of Bertha Elizabeth Bédard/Bedead, who was born in Vermont, likely of French-Canadian ancestry.

Elizabet’s maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Barba (the daughter of Peter Louis Barba and Rose Cucci). Elizabeth was born in New York. Peter was born in New York, the son of Italian parents, Giovanni/John Barba, from Angri, Campania, and Addolorata/Dora Deresperis/Derespiris, from Foggia, Puglia.     She looks Jewish. Very pretty. I am Irish and people say I also look like david Schwimmer as well? What are the odds? Maybe she could be the biological daughter of David Schwimmer? My 10th grade music teacher did famously say “anything is possible” she could model eating gafilta fish

His parents were Giovanni John Barba (1881-1939) born in Italy, died in Brooklyn, New York, Peter’s mother was ADDOLORATA DORA DERESPIRIS, born 1890 in Foggia, Puglia, Italy and died 1933 in Brooklyn, New York.
