Eduardo V. Manalo is the third Executive Minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo. He is also known as “Ka Eduardo.”

He is the son of Tenny Manalo (Cristina Arámbulo Villanueva) and Eraño Manalo, who was the second Executive Minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), from April 19, 1963 to August 31, 2009. He is married to Babylyn/Lynn Ventura, with whom he has three children.

Eduardo’s paternal grandfather was Felix Manalo, who was the founder of Iglesia ni Cristo (the son of Mariano Ysagun y Manalo/Villanueva, or Mariano Manalo/Villanueva Ysagun in Filipino, and of Bonifacia Manalo y Cruz, or Bonifacia Cruz Manalo in Filipino). Mariano’s father was Salvador Ysagun y de la Cruz, or Salvador de la Cruz Ysagun in Filipino. It is not clear if Mariano’s mother was Dolores Manalo y Aquino, or Dolores Aquino Manalo in Filipino; or Teresa Villanueva. Bonifacia was the daughter of Andrés Manalo y Torres, or Andrés Torres Manalo, and of María Cruz.

Eduardo’s paternal grandmother was named Honorata de Guzmán (the daughter of Rosendo de Guzmán). Honorata was born in Tondo, Manila. Rosendo was the son of Arsenio de Guzmán.

Eduardo’s maternal grandfather was Jacinto Mercado Villanueva (the son of Hilario Villanueva y Valerio, or Hilario Valerio Villanueva in Filipino, and of Juliana Mercado y Manapat, or Juliana Manapat Mercado in Filipino). Jacinto was born in Pasay, Rizal, now Metro Manila. Hilario was the son of Pedro de los Santos de los Santos, paternal family name changed to Villanueva; and of María Valerio y Celeridad, or María Celeridad Valerio in Filipino. Juliana was the daughter of Andrés Mercado, who was of part Chinese descent, and of Cipriana Manapat y de la Cruz, or Cipriana de la Cruz Manapat in Filipino.

Eduardo’s maternal grandmother was María Asunción Arámbulo y Alipon (or María Asunción Alipon Arámbulo in Filipino, the daughter of Esteban Arámbulo y Capuchino, or Esteban Capuchino Arámbulo in Filipino; and of Juana Alipon y Manguerra, or Juana Manguerra Alipon in Filipino). Asunción was born in Santa Rosa, Laguna. Esteban was the son of José Sixto Arámbulo and Lorenza Capuchino. Juana was the daughter of Sixto Alipon and Cristina Manguerra.

Eduardo is a second cousin, once removed, of actor Eric Fructuoso.

    Andrés Mercado was of part Chinese descent. ((Take note that it is already his full name, unlike his wife, as his mother’s last name is a given name, not the family name))

    Cipriana Manapat’s full name is Cipriana Manapat y de la Cruz (or Cipriana de la Cruz Manapat in Filipino).
