Chris de Burgh is a British and Irish singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the son of Maeve/Maeva Emily de Burgh, a secretary, and Colonel Charles John Davison, a diplomat. His daughter is actress, singer, writer, model, and beauty queen Rosanna Davison.

Chris father is British, and his mother is Irish. Chris’ mother’s Fock line goes back to his great-great-great-great-grandfather, Johann Henrik Fock, who was born in Slota, Skaraborgs län, Sweden, thus making Chris of 1/64th Swedish descent.

Chris’ paternal grandfather was Harry Walton Davison (the son of William Davison and Louisa James).

Chris’ paternal grandmother was named Ivy Sumner Potts.
