She is the founder, chairperson, president, and chief creative officer of makeup and skincare brand Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Ltd. She is a contributing beauty editor for British Vogue and global ambassador for Women International.

Charlotte is the daughter of production manager Patsy Dodd and artist Lance Tilbury. She was mostly raised in Ibiza, Spain, moving back to London, in her early teens, to attend boarding school. She is married to film producer George Waud, and has two children.
