Brian Tyler is an American composer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, conductor, arranger DJ, and producer.

Brian’s paternal grandfather is art director Walter H. Tyler (born Walter Harry Tyler; the son of Frank M. Tyler and Lillian “Lillie” Burkhart). Walter was born in California. Frank was born in Kansas, the son of Marcus Stickney Tyler and Lydia E. Wisner. Lillian was born in either Illinois or Indiana, the daughter of John Burkhart, whose father was the son of German parents and whose mother was German, and of Rebecca Stump.

Brian’s paternal grandmother is Ruth Elizabeth Kreinbring (the daughter of Robert E. Kreinbring and Flora Mae Roy). Ruth was born in Michigan. Robert was born in Michigan, the son of Charles J. Kreinbring, who was German, and of Bertha Wegener, whose parents were German. Flora was born in Michigan, the daughter of Elisha Benjamin Roy, whose parents were French, and of Catherine Cecile “Cecelia” Louys, who was born in Hérimoncourt, Doubs, France.
