Bradley Cooper is an American actor, producer, director, and singer. His roles include the Wet Hot American Summer franchise, Wedding Crashers, Failure to Launch, The Midnight Meat Train, Yes Man, He’s Just Not That Into You, The Hangover films, New York, I Love You; Valentine’s Day, The A-Team, Case 39, Limitless, The Words, Silver Linings Playbook, The Place Beyond the Pines, American Hustle, Serena, American Sniper, Aloha, Burnt, Joy, War Dogs, A Star Is Born, The Mule, Nightmare Alley, and Maestro; the shows Sex and the City, Alias, and Jack & Bobby; and as Rocket of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also directed and co-wrote A Star Is Born and Maestro. He has been nominated for an acting Oscar four times. He was a co-singer on A Star Is Born‘s hit single “Shallow.”

Bradley’s mother, Gloria (Campano), who worked for an NBC affiliate, is of Italian descent, and his father, Charles J. “Charlie” Cooper, a stockbroker, was of Irish descent. He was raised in Jenkintown and Rydal, in the Philadelphia area. Bradley has a daughter with his former partner, Russian model and actress Irina Shayk.

Bradley was selected People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2011. He is the first man of significant Italian heritage to have been given this title by the magazine. Chris Evans, in 2022, is the second.

Bradley’s paternal grandfather was Charles Francis Cooper, Jr. (the son of Charles Francis Cooper and Margarett/Margaret M. Boyce). Bradley’s grandfather Charles was born in Pennsylvania, to parents who were also born in the state. Bradley’s great-grandfather Charles was the son of John William Cooper and Hannah A./Bridget Roddy/Stack, whose parents were Irish. Margaret was the daughter of Irish parents, Frederick Boyce and Grace McBride.

Bradley’s paternal grandmother was Anna Mae Cahill (the daughter of Patrick Francis Cahill and Bridget T. “Delia” Welsh). Anna was born in Pennsylvania, to Irish parents, from Mayo, County Mayo. She also had roots in County Donegal. Bridget was the daughter of Patrick Walsh.

Bradley’s maternal grandfather was Angelo J. Campano (the son of Angelo Campano/Campana and Pasqualina “Lina”/Lena Cilla). Bradley’s grandfather Angelo was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Italian parents, from Cervinara, Avellino, Campania.

Bradley’s maternal grandmother was Assunta R. DeFrancesco/De Francesco (the daughter of Gaetano Defrancesco/Di Francesco/De Francesco and Concetta Malena/Maleno/Melena). Assunta was born in Ripa Teatina, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy. Gaetano was born in Montazzoli, Chieti, Abruzzo, the son of Angelo Defrancesco/Di Francesco/De Francesco and Albina Ferrara.

    Can see the Italian in him. Something about his eye shape, nose and mouth.

    There’s a man who is full blown Lebanese and he looks a lot like Bradly. They have similar eye shape and noses, despite the fair features. Weird…
