Brad Renfro was an American actor and musician. As a prominent actor beginning in his teens, he had leading roles in the films The Client, The Cure, Tom and Huck (both 1995), Sleepers, Telling Lies in America, Apt Pupil, Skipped Parts, Bully, Ghost World, Happy Campers, Tart, American Girl, Deuces Wild, The Job (2003), The Jacket, 10th & Wolf, and The Informers.
Brad was the son of Angela and Mark Refnro, a factory worker. The surname Renfro usually originates in either England or Scotland. Brad was raised by his paternal grandmother Joanne, a church secretary. She died seventeen days after his death. Brad had a son, who lived in Japan with his mother.
Brad’s paternal grandfather was Jack Delano Renfro (the son of Helen Pauliene Renfro). Jack was born in Tennessee. Helen was the daughter of John Carmichael Renfro and Ardell Magnolia Fennell.
Brad’s paternal grandmother was Joanne Barron (the daughter of William Nathaniel Gale Barron III and Jemima Lena “Mima” Brooks). William was the son of Robert Patton Barron, Sr. and Mary Louise “Mollie” Dempster. Jemima was the daughter of James Madison Brooks and Nancy Caroline Stewart/Stuart.
Brad’s maternal grandfather was Billy/Bill Wayne McCroy (the son of Leroy/Le Roy Edgar McCroy and Mary Thelma Cooper). Leroy was the son of John H. McCroy and Julia Blair. Thelma was the daughter of Franklin Lafayette “Fate” Cooper and Margaret Amplise/Amprice Lail/Laile.
Brad’s maternal grandmother was Judy Earl (the daughter of Chester Francis Earl and Helen Marie Haynes). Chester was the son of Barney Iron Earl and Mary Mae Fox. Helen was the daughter of Oscar Joseph Haynes and Margaret Rose Davis.

As for Lottie Salyer and David Renfro, I don’t know how they got involved in this. They married in December 1911, about two years after Brad’s great-grandfather was born (which doesn’t rule it out). They appear on the 1920 Census without any son named J. Earl.
