Behati Prinsloo is a Namibian model. She is 5′11″.
Her father, Louis Francois “Boet” Prinsloo, a Christian minister, was born in South-West Africa (now Namibia). Her mother, Magda, was born in Cape Town. Her surname is Dutch. She is from an Afrikaner family. A picture of Behati’s mother can be seen here.
Behati is married to American singer, television personality, and actor Adam Levine, with whom she has three children. She has also been billed as Behati Prinsloo Levine.
Behati is a second cousin, three times removed, of prominent Afrikaner, Colonel Hendrik Prinsloo. She was also a half-third cousin, once removed, of South African president F. W. de Klerk. Behati’s paternal great-great-great-grandmother, Anna Sophia Erasmus, was also F. W.’s maternal great-great-grandmother.
Behati’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her tenth great-grandfather, Hendrik Prinsloo.
Behati’s paternal grandfather was Louis Francois Prinsloo (the son of Georg Diederick Prinsloo and Cornelia Maria Pretorius). Louis was born in Angola. Georg was the son of Michiel Wilhelm “Giel Prem” Prinsloo and Martha Catharina Jacoba du Preez. Cornelia was the daughter of Louis Frans Pretorius and Martha Sophia van Dyk.
Behati’s paternal grandmother was Isabella Jacoba van Tonder (the daughter of Jacobus Coenraad van Tonder and Isabella Jacoba Mostert). Jacobus was the son of Cornelis Jacobus Van Tonder and Elizabetha Susanna Breytenbach. Behati’s great-grandmother Jacoba was the daughter of Johannes Hendrik Mostert and Isabella Jacoba Smit/Smid.

Behati’s maternal grandmother is named Albertha Steenkamp. Albertha was born in Calvinia, Northern Cape, South Africa.

Behati’s paternal great-great-great-grandmother, Anna Sophia Pretorius, was also the maternal great-great-grandmother of South African President and Nobel Prize Laureate F.W. de Klerk.
I bet she is related to him through many lines. :-)
this one is not that distant
I know.
This would make Behati and President F.W. De Klerk 3rd cousins 1 time removed

Wait, why do you include that Candice Swanepoel has distant African, Indonesian, and Indian ancestors but not for Behati? It should be in Behati’s, too.
I dunno about Candice, but I’ve found Behati “exotic” ancestors (all from 1600s):
India -> https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_de_Caep-7
China -> https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Inko-1
Indonesia -> https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_Timor-3
Angola -> https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_Angola-11
and Madagascar: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Arabus-3
It looks like every Afrikaner has these ancestors.
Not all, but plenty of those ones who are on this site do (due to inbreeding). For example when the user Manila wrote:
“Some research suggests that Marais (S.A. President) has remote Italian ancestry. It is not clear if this Italian ancestry has been verified/documented”
He/she refers to this man (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mar%C3%A9-5) who is an ancestor of Charlize Theron, Roger Federer, and of many S.A. Presidents, among others
@ashash
Iba Anthonique van Timor and Dorothe van Angola are also Federer’s ancestors
I see what you mean by it being due to inbreeding. From above, Behati has different ancestors that were brothers … very inbred.
So Behati, Candice, Arnold Vosloo, Oscar Pistorius, Roger Federer, etc. are all related, right?
Yes, they all share common ancestors in the last 200-300 years, and have remote non European ancestry too. If you explore any Afrikaner genealogy there’s alwais some female slaves popping out from the 1600s. For example, Richard Dawkins descends from this woman: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_Bengale-1
That’s really cool. I bet the same is true for Charlize Theron.
